Trawler Revenant is a sea going vessel exploring the waters in middle and Northern Europe with leisure and educational purposes
Educational cruising trips starting/ending in Breskens harbour
On TrawlerRevenant we offer small groups of people (max 8 passengers) the opportunity to experience life on a small cruising yacht in a beautiful nature setting. Mostly on Schelde river and in good monitored and sheltered waters. We travel slow and easy! We don't do speeding except when required by circumstances. We respect nature, wild life and environment. Even though we have experience in very bad weather at sea, we keep it safe for you, from force 5, a sea state with a lot of wind we stay in the harbour. So a planned trip can be cancelled by sms. In that case a booking is delayed until a better weather window shows up. Each trip takes place from minimum 5 passengers. Language on board is mostly Dutch and determined before departure (NL-FR-E) depending on the passengers. Bringing binoculars (with belt) is a good idea. Swimming is not allowed because of the dangerous currents.
1. Morning trip on Schelde river: 3 hour trip starting 9.00h: €95/person. After a welcome on board with coffee or tea we have a safety briefing before departure. We cruise around the sand plates, we ancre to see wildlife and explane the history of the river starting from the end of the ice age 11.000 years ago. It happens that we taste local specialty while at ancre.
2. Evening sunset trips: 3hour trip starting 19.30h : €95/person. Heading west to the coast of Cadzand and Knokke: on demand.
3. Breskens - Veere: €125/person. We often do the traject Breskens - Veere, a trip through the locks and bridges in the canal. This one way trip takes approx 5-6 hours and ends with a lunch on board on the lake. ONBOARD RULES: due to the Covid pandemic: every passenger is fully vaccinated and in good shape (no fever, no colds). Safety instructions always need to be followed. While cruising max 4 persons are allowed on the flybridge seats. Toilet onboard is not available, harbour facilities can be used before and after the trip. Clean shoes (no black soles) are asked on board. Normal eating before departure is necessary. An empty stomac and alcohol don't mach with boatlife when out of harbour.
